I like to read the Proverb for the day since there are 31. Sometimes I read it in bed for the day ahead and sometimes on that morning. Today’s was Proverbs 1. The first 7 verses are such an admonition on how to lead a good life by pursuing God and His favor. My margin had a note about Solomon referring to 1 Kings 4:32 “He also spoke 3,000 proverbs and his songs were 1,005.” I smiled to think that David’s anointing passed on to his son… and then some! While reading Zechariah 3, I was really struck with verse 7:
Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways, and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here.'” [emphasis added] Read more

I deeply feel the pain and struggles of those near and dear to me. Last summer I learned that I had been carrying the burdens of others and not handing them over to the Lord. Since then, I have practiced this principle by praying as the needs arise, as the person or situation comes to mind, and as nudged by Holy Spirit. Read more
