My walk was a little shorter today and my time on the bench was interrupted. As I walked home I thought about the birds I had been watching. The littlest birds stayed near the ground and bushes. Two sweet ones popped their heads up from a bush when I walked by and immediately dipped back into the bush. Read more

As soon as I stepped away from the driveway I began my prayers and I heard myself cry out for the Lord to “electrify” me, my family, and church. I followed by asking for His “current” and began praying for the River of Life, of Healing, of Love, and of Deliverance to flow in and through us. I was thinking about John Bevere’s teaching on “The Bait of Satan” based on Matthew 24. The “bait” is offense and in a nutshell it is actually hatred, which is a lack of love with the root of anger. It was a beautiful morning and the urge to walk was strong. At first I just wanted to thank and praise the Lord. Half-way through my walk I wanted to be quiet before Him. I found a quiet bench in the neighborhood playground and sat quietly, waiting. The silence was peaceful, but then I began to hear the hidden sounds. Read more

I woke up several hours before the family and our houseguests this morning. I grabbed my coffee and journal and sat by the fire. I thought about my New Year’s resolutions and wrote them out under the titles of Body, Soul, and Spirit. It was a thoughtful and exhilarating time. When my friend finally woke up, she grabbed my hand and said, “Let’s pray!” Read more
