Learning to Deal With Anger
We know that if a cup or vessel is an old one with surface scratches, boiling bubbles have a place to escape. I am reminded here about dealing with anger. As we mature in our walk with the Lord, we realize that anger is displeasing to Him and let’s face it, it never really makes a point anyway. When we recognize our progress in “letting it go”, “cooling off”, or simply “holding it in” until it subsides, those little cracks help our anger to dissipate and we don’t reach “the boiling point.”
Little by little, step by step, as we take our troubles, our judgments, our wounds, our needs to Jesus, He will soothe and straighten, and teach us His way. Soon, anger can’t find a place in us … it’s been covered in the Blood and hidden under Grace.
