Isaiah 40:27

Isaiah DeclarationsThursday, August 27, 2020

“O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, How can you say God ignores your rights?”

Personal note: Remember how Isaiah 40 began (v1)? “Comfort, comfort my people.” And midway through (v9), he says, “Your God is coming!” And just prior (v21) “Are you deaf to the words of God?” I shake my head and I bet Father does too. I can hear Him say, “When will My kids ever get it! I love them so much.”

  • Forgive us, Lord, when we doubt Your words. You are not man that You should lie. You do what You say and You keep Your promises. (Num 23:19)
  • We are so grateful that You watch over us. You see our tears, our challenges, and our disappointments. You test the righteous as well as the wicked. (Ps 11:4) Grant us favor, courage and stamina. We look to the reward of breakthrough You bring as we patiently endure with faith. (James 1:12)
  • Today, we ask Your help for those communities under duress right now in our nation: the fires in California, the destructive winds in Iowa, the wake of Hurricane Laura in Louisiana and the areas surrounding them, our cities inflamed with rioting and destruction. Protect those who rush to protect and save. Provide for those who are willing to help. Give divine wisdom to those who govern and administrate. We ask for miracles, signs and wonders where YOU get the glory.
  • Inspire us who have confidence and faith in You and Your word to share that confidence with others. Help us to lift their spirits and point them to You. Stir compassion in our hearts and Your prophetic voice in our spirits.
  • By faith, we cancel the voice of the liar and accuser and the voice of doubt and unbelief. Even as the world speaks of “cancel culture”, we can fight that battle too. We say, Spirit of God, speak! Let Wisdom and the Voice of Truth and Reason be heard all across our land, across the oceans, and across the nations. May the whole earth be filled with Your glory! Amen!!

Mary and Martha, Arise!

AriseA Dream This Morning

I woke up from a dream snippet. I think it was a conversation with someone who was listing attributes and I said, “I know what that is! It’s a FEMELINO.” And then I felt like ducking and apologizing like it was too radical. I felt embarrassed.

I kept repeating that word, femelino, in my head so I wouldn’t forget it when I really woke up. While I put on the coffee, I looked up the word. It appears to be Spanish, but I couldn’t find a definition. I checked images and found this image for femelino. It’s a poster for International Women’s Day, March 8. The background is pink and there’s a large sign of the female with myriads of butterflies flying out of it, especially at the top. Later I did a Spanish to English translation: femelino means feminine.

After I wrote all of this in my journal, I heard this from the Lord:

“I am calling My women prayer warriors to rise up in that meek and gentle spirit to prophesy to the bones. They are equal in My Kingdom. They are light and beautiful, not dark and sinister. Men do not need to be afraid of them. Their cries kiss heaven and I hear each one. Butterflies represent metamorphosis and resurrection power. Mary and Martha, arise! It’s time to evangelize and prophesy.”

I continued in my journal…

I just realized it’s 8/22. 8 is the # of new beginnings and 22 is the # of governmental authority (Isaiah 22:22) — “I will give him the key to the house of David—the highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them.” (NLT) In my Jesus Calling devotional for 8/22, this phrase stood out: “Remember that there is no condemnation for those who belong to Me.” And in my Prayers on Fire devotional for today, “You bloom through my dreams with whispers of love that awaken my heart.”

Last night I watched a YouTube program called “Breaking the MUZZLE off the rising voices & shaking off fear” by Nate Johnston*. The video is a pleasant view from the clouds over mountains and valleys with his voice giving this powerful prophetic word. The video is 22 minutes long.

My Thoughts

Since this Covid shut-in began March 19th, I have been engaged in a personal revival. I have had dreams, words from the Lord, significant revelation in Scripture, and in general, an over-powering excitement to get engaged, especially in prayer and intercession. I have been introduced to international and national ministry teaching, videos, and newsletters and books that I felt were “heaven-sent.” During these past five months, I have had some incredible insight into past wounds as a child and some later ones that have kept me quiet, reserved, timid when it came to my faith, but no longer. Ezekiel 37 (The Valley of Dry Bones) has been a “landing spot” for me and more so with the April launch of the song “Rattle” by Elevation Worship.

In general, the world sees authoritative women as controlling, bossy, too strong, and well, a little hard to take. But what I’ve been learning is that authority, especially in prayer, doesn’t have to be loud or brassy, but it still can be the Lion of Judah’s roar through us. It can have punch because it’s the Spirit firing us up inside. It’s His breath. They are His words. Whatever heaven reveals, we can pray back to it and know we have that authority.

So I say… Mary, Martha, Susie, Cathy, Karen… whoever you are… you were made for such a time as this! The world needs your voice in prayer. Your families, your kids, your brothers and sisters need your voice. Father’s ears are open. The angels are waiting for heaven’s orders. All that’s needed is some time and some heart-felt prayers. It’s time to live your life outloud. Be all that you were made to be.

*info Nate & Christy Johnston live in Australia. This video on YouTube 3 days ago was actually written on their site on July 6th “Letter to the Muzzled Voice: it’s time to encounter the Lion & shake off the fear of man”. At the end he’s written a list for Symptoms of Being Muzzled in a Roaring Season and How You Can Be A Voice in This Season. Excellent.

Isaiah 40:12

Isaiah 40Wednesday, August 12, 2020

“Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?

Personal note: Boy, oh, boy–doesn’t this verse convict us? As I read this, I immediately thought of the Lord’s challenge to Job in Job 38 WOW! In my mind’s eye I can just see Job looking up at the whirlwind, shaking at the thundering voice questioning him. Awesome, jaw-dropping revelation pours out as the Lord reveals His might, power, and wisdom. HE is the Creator of all things. All creation is by His design. And then I bow my head in wonderment and thanksgiving that HE knows me. How can it be? How awesome is a Creator that knows everything about me down to the number of hairs on my body.

  • You are great and glorious, Lord God Almighty. Receive our praise and thanksgiving for all You have given us to enjoy in this world–the oceans, the mountains, the rivers, the valleys and hills. The beauty we see reflects Your beauty. Convict us to care as much for our environment as You do.
  • Your oceans are vast. When we stand on the shores, it looks like it goes on forever. WE can’t see the ocean’s end, but You do. You set their boundaries. Help us to understand Your limitless power as well as to understand what power You have given us who believe. Holy Spirit, inspire us in new ways to express You to our world.
  • Awaken our spiritual eyes to see the storms on the horizon before they gather strength. We declare that Your hand which has held the oceans, will hold back the onslaught of the enemy’s attacks on our lives, on Your church, and on our nation. Speak to the riotous waves that seek to drown us and tell them to be still.
  • Open our eyes to the unseen realm just as You did to Elisha’s servant. (2 Kings 6:17) Show us how to participate in heaven’s warfare for our families and beyond.
  • May Your hand that has held the oceans be upon us as we share Your Good News with others. (Acts 11:21)
  • Take us to new heights, Lord. Call us to a Mt. Sinai experience. We are willing to be “weighed in the balance” of Your righteous judgment. Cleanse our hearts, heal our wounds, remove the stains on our garments. We realize that only those with clean hands and hearts have a right to shout from the mountaintops. (Psalm 24)
  • Today, Lord, we appeal to Your rule over all the earth and the 7 Mountains of Influence. Let the redeemed say so. Give voice to Your prophets in Your Church. Raise up the Patrick Henry’s in our government to speak with clarity and power. Call families to prayer. (7 Mountains Prayer Guide)
  • We want to know You, to serve You, and to share You. Increase in us that You may increase in our spheres of influence.

Superlatives

I was dreaming just before I woke up this morning and heard, “It’s all about the superlatives.” Next in my mind’s eye I saw a Vonage commercial that has been played over and over in recent weeks. Read more

My Daughter ~ Your Journey

The last three months had been very stressful with leaving retirement and going back to work. There was so much to relearn and practically all the software I’d been used to was updated. Nothing seemed the same. On top of work, there were several people close to me who were really battling hard issues. Read more
